Paradise Found

American actor Matthew Fox from the hit TV show 'Lost' once surprised people by famously quoting "I'm not really a tropical island kind of person."

In New Zealand, tropical islands are in our blood. Our homes are blessed by warm winds off the Pacific Ocean, we buy fresh exotic fruits at the market, we jump on a plane in the dead of winter to be sun drenched within hours, and our culture and cities are filled with colourful tropical influences.

It makes perfect sense to bring a little indoors.

How fun is this tropical nursery? Wallpaper murals are a fabulous way to introduce different patterns and colours. With so many colours in the mural itself, choosing complementary paints, fabrics and furnishings is a tropical breeze.
